Role Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Agile Product Owner to join our dynamic, Ontario-based team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the development and delivery of innovative products within an Agile environment.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define the product vision, roadmap, and strategy.
  • Lead and manage the Agile product development process, ensuring smooth execution of sprints.
  • Create, manage, and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring it is clear and actionable.
  • Act as the main point of contact between business stakeholders, development teams, and customers.
  • Work with engineering teams to define release plans and ensure timely delivery of product features.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by analyzing sprint retrospectives.
  • Regularly interact with customers and users to gather feedback and understand their pain points.
  • Define and track key product performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success.
  • Collaborate with design, engineering, and marketing teams to ensure successful product delivery.
  • Conduct market research to stay informed of industry trends and competitor products.
  • Ensure that the product meets any legal, regulatory, or industry compliance standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Certification in Agile methodologies (e.g., CSPO, PSPO, PMI-ACP, CPO).
  • Proven experience as a Product Owner, ideally in an Agile environment.
  • Strong experience in and understanding of product lifecycle management.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage stakeholders effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly.
  • Familiarity with product management and Agile project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, Productboard / Aha!).
  • A customer-centric mindset with the ability to gather, prioritize, and act on customer feedback.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with data-driven decision-making and using analytics to inform product strategy.
  • Strong strategic thinking and business acumen.
  • Strong understanding of cloud-based platforms, APIs, or web services.
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to balance competing priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with B2B and/or SaaS products.
  • Strong understanding of UX/UI principles and how they relate to product development.
  • Experience in the Healthcare industry, preferably in the Hearing Care domain.
  • Experience working in mid-sized software companies.
