[Hiring] Vice President, Operations @Synapse Health

Role Description

The VP, Operations is a key leader responsible for the performance, scalability, and operational integrity of Synapse Health's home medical equipment (HME) and durable medical equipment (DME) operations. This role drives the operational execution and team leadership that enable sustainable growth, operational excellence, and strong patient and partner experiences.

• Own operational execution and outcomes across qualifications, resupply, fulfillment, and member transitions.
• Direct ownership of throughput, productivity, SLAs, quality, and cost to serve.
• Lead the directors and teams to run as one cohesive, high-performing organization.
• Build accountability and drive performance management.
• Lead teams through change, focusing on operational rigor and systems thinking.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive experience leading high-volume operations in healthcare, BPO/contact center, or comparable environments.
• Proven track record building and leading high-performing operational teams in high-growth companies.
• Demonstrated ability to build accountability and performance management systems.
• Strong metrics orientation and experience using data to drive decisions.
• Experience operating with speed and sound judgment in fast-moving environments.
• Systems, design, and product thinking with a track record of mapping end-to-end workflows.
• Ability to travel, including occasional domestic and international travel.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; advanced degree a plus but not required.

• Establish clear accountability structures, performance tracking, and management routines.
• Champion continuous improvement to reduce cycle times and improve satisfaction.
• Partner with Quality & Audit on escalation root-cause and corrective action.
• Apply Pareto to isolate and design out waste in workflows.
• Advance a standardized, cross-trained operation to lower cost to serve.
• Lead, develop, and inspire operational leaders to build a culture of accountability.
• Support succession planning and leadership development.

Compensation

The base salary range for this position is $215,000 – $300,000 annually, plus an annual performance bonus and equity. Final compensation will be based on factors such as relevant experience, demonstrated skills, internal equity, and prevailing market conditions.
