[Hiring] Site Management Lead @SkyBound

5d ago - SkyBound is hiring a remote Site Management Lead. πŸ’Έ Salary: Β£60,000 to Β£70,000 πŸ“Location: UK

Role Description

We are looking for an experienced Site Management Lead to join our growing Service Delivery team and take ownership of how we design, deploy, onboard and maintain our customer sites.

This is an opportunity to take ownership of and build on the Site Management capability we already have in place. Site Management is already a core part of how we operate, with responsibilities currently shared across the team. You will bring these activities together under a dedicated function, developing the team, processes and standards as we grow, while remaining hands-on across site design, surveys, deployment, onboarding and maintenance.

You’ll bring structure, consistency and scalability to a function that is already delivering, helping us take Site Management to the next level.

Responsibilities

  • Own the operational lifecycle of our customer sites, working closely with Service Delivery, Flight Operations, Procurement, Engineering, Product, PMO, Customer Success and our customers.
  • Lead the end-to-end site management process, from initial survey and design through to deployment, onboarding, operational handover and ongoing maintenance.
  • Develop consistent processes, standards and documentation for site delivery.
  • Coordinate site surveys and ensure site specifications are accurately captured and completed.
  • Work with GIS and other technical teams to support site and flight-volume design.
  • Manage the practical onboarding of new sites into our software and operational environment.
  • Coordinate site deployments, working closely with PMO and internal and external delivery partners.
  • Establish effective processes for site and equipment maintenance, repairs and ongoing technical support.
  • Identify recurring issues and opportunities to improve site reliability, deployment efficiency and operational performance.
  • Build appropriate systems, processes and reporting to provide visibility of site status, readiness, maintenance and performance.
  • Work closely with Flight Operations to ensure sites are operationally ready and capable of supporting planned flight volumes.
  • Support the development of the Site Management team, including identifying the skills and roles required as the business scales.
  • Ensure lessons learned from deployments and operational experience are fed back into future site design and delivery.

Qualifications

  • Experience managing complex physical or technical deployments or operational infrastructure.
  • Background in field operations or service delivery.
  • Experience in infrastructure or technical deployments.
  • Familiarity with telecommunications or network infrastructure.
  • Experience in engineering or technical project delivery.
  • Background in rail, aviation, logistics or other operational environments.
  • Experience in IoT, robotics, autonomous systems or other technology-enabled services.
  • Experience in facilities or asset-intensive operations.

Requirements

  • Comfortable being hands-on as well as working at a strategic level.
  • Able to take something that is not fully defined and develop it into a repeatable process.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills.
  • Understanding of the importance of good site design and planning before deployment.
  • Ability to balance technical requirements with practical operational considerations.
  • Comfortable working across multiple teams and bringing people together to solve problems.
  • Strong attention to detail without losing sight of the wider objectives.
  • Able to identify where more structure is needed without creating unnecessary bureaucracy.
  • Commercially and operationally minded, understanding the importance of delivering a reliable service to customers.
  • Comfortable developing a function and its processes as the business grows.

Benefits

  • Β£60,000 - Β£70,000 salary.
  • 23 days annual leave plus public holidays.
  • Enhanced employer pension contribution.
  • Industry relevant training and development.
  • Flexible and casual working environment.
  • Health and wellbeing support.
  • 24/7 Employee Assistance Programme.
  • EV charging points at the office.
  • Internal and external development opportunities.
  • Group Life assurance.
  • Flexible working arrangements.
  • Direct access to senior leadership.
  • A growing business where you can see the impact of your work.
  • The opportunity to help build the future of autonomous operations.
  • Real ownership of the role.
