Role Description

As our client's first dedicated hire, the Amazon Operations & Inventory Specialist will take full ownership of their inventory management, ensuring top-selling products remain consistently in stock while strictly preventing over-ordering. This behind-the-scenes, highly analytical role is crucial for their next stage of growth, as optimizing their supply chain will free up the founder to focus on scaling the business and onboarding new vendors. Key Responsibilities

• Optimize Inventory Management:
  • Monitor inventory across all active products and utilize tools like Sellerboard to forecast demand, recommending precise reorder quantities to the founder to prevent both stockouts and excess inventory.
• Coordinate Prep and Shipments:
  • Liaise with third-party prep centers by passing on incoming purchase orders, completing detailed shipment paperwork, and ensuring all inbound shipments strictly meet Amazon’s FNSKU labeling and prep requirements.
• Maintain Seller Central Catalog Health:
  • Add new products to Amazon Seller Central, proactively fix incorrect product measurements, and resolve ongoing catalog issues.
• Resolve Inventory Discrepancies:
  • Actively identify and investigate lost inventory cases, filing successful reimbursement claims to recover the client's capital.
• Analyze Sourcing Opportunities:
  • Review large vendor price lists and spreadsheets to identify profitable product opportunities and support the client's continuous growth pipeline.
• Drive B2B Outreach:
  • Research and compile ranked B2B prospect lists with accurate contact details, and support email outreach campaigns (including sample offers) to help secure new vendor relationships.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Amazon FBA operations, ideally in a reseller or wholesale capacity (Required).
• Proven track record in monitoring inventory levels, forecasting, and recommending reorder quantities (Required).
• Strong spreadsheet skills, with the ability to comfortably analyze large vendor price lists in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets (Required).
• Working knowledge of Amazon Seller Central, FBA inbound shipments, prep requirements, and FNSKU labeling (Required).
• Ability to work independently in a behind-the-scenes role while remaining highly receptive to training, feedback, and collaboration (Required).
• Familiarity with Sellerboard or similar inventory and profitability tracking tools (Preferred).
• Prior experience successfully filing reimbursement claims for lost inventory or incorrect measurements (Preferred).
• Experience utilizing Amazon flat files (Preferred).
• Background in B2B lead research and email outreach (Preferred).
