[Hiring] Virtual Psychiatrist @UNC-Chapel Hill

Role Description

The UNC Department of Psychiatry is seeking an Open Rank Psychiatrist to work virtually providing psychiatric care to inpatient individuals and individuals in emergency departments via our EPIC platform. You will work virtually, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team at Jonas Hills Hospital and other entities within the UNC Health system.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records (EPIC) and clinical documentation.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
• Flexibility of virtual work while making a significant impact on the lives of those in need.
• Primary shift would be weekdays, daytime hours.
• Participation in the call pool for occasional weekend coverage.
• This is a fixed term faculty position.
• Appointment rank will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Qualifications

• Telepsychiatry experience preferred but not required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a virtual team environment.
