Role Description

The Virtual ICU (vICU) nurse provides virtual ICU nursing care to a diverse population of critically ill patients across multiple hospitals regionally from a centralized Virtual Care Center. The vICU nurse:

• Assesses patients’ data and provides nursing care in collaboration with local care teams using audio/video connections during the patients' ICU stay to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Performs video assessment of patients.
• Surveilles patients' biometric data, vital signs, and other physiological data using specialized software and digital health technologies.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years ICU nursing experience.
• Currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse by state of employment or holds a multistate RN license through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact.
• AHA ACLS and BLS prior to end of orientation period.

Requirements

• Previous virtual health experience.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• CCRN.
• Experience with Cerner Powerchart.
• Trauma Nursing Certification.
• Telehealth certification.
