Role Description
The primary responsibility of this role is to complete intake assessments and coordinate service linkage for clients appropriate for outpatient services, crisis stabilization, CSU, detoxification, or inpatient referral.

Provide clinical services to adults, children, and adolescents in an outpatient setting, including assessment, intake, intervention, treatment planning, and triage.

Conduct intakes and assessments, giving proper diagnoses, developing and implementing treatment planning, and making appropriate referrals to internal and external services and support systems.

Participate in case staffing.

Provide clinical services to a population of outpatient adults, children, adolescents, and adults who have alcohol and drug treatment issues or co-morbid health problems.

Provide intervention, assessment/intake, treatment planning, triage, individual therapy, group therapy, and/or play therapy, as necessary.

Provide counseling to clients remotely while maintaining ethical standards and adhering to telehealth guidelines.

Exhibit strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport virtually and an understanding of technology to deliver effective therapy.

Ensure that all documentation necessary to meet contract, licensure, and appropriate behavioral health organization requirements is completed in a timely manner per VBHCS standards.

Meet the productivity standards as outlined by VBHCS, based on the number of hours worked per month.

Serve as a liaison and collaborate with other service providers and referral sources as needed to support treatment goals, including coordination with courts, schools, foster homes, family members, case managers, and state agencies.
Qualifications

Must possess a Master's degree (license-eligible) in a clinical field such as social work, counseling, psychology, or a related discipline.

Demonstrates a courteous, diplomatic, and service-oriented approach.

Exhibits strong assessment skills, particularly in evaluating suicide risk and potential harm to others.

Capable of exercising sound judgment and performing effectively under pressure.

Knowledgeable of commitment procedures and available community resources.

Maintains timely, accurate, and thorough documentation of client records and work-related activities.
