[Hiring] Sleep Medicine Physician @Prime Physicians

Role Description

The Sleep Medicine Physician will provide virtual/telehealth services to support the Greater Los Angeles VA Health Care System and VA facilities nationwide.

• Evaluate and manage new and established sleep medicine patients through telehealth.
• Perform electronic consultations and medical record reviews.
• Determine appropriate sleep testing and interpret sleep study results.
• Complete remote physiologic and therapeutic device monitoring.
• Document patient encounters in the EHR within required timelines.
• Communicate results and treatment recommendations to Veterans and referring providers.
• Coordinate care with other treating providers.
• Participate in weekly team huddles and monthly quality improvement meetings.
• Complete required VA/VHA training and maintain credentialing compliance.

Qualifications

• Active, full, and unrestricted medical license in the state where the Veteran receiving care resides.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Sleep Medicine by an ABMS-recognized board.
• Current BLS certification or equivalent.
• Current DEA Certificate.
• National Provider Identifier (NPI).
• Current CME consistent with Sleep Medicine board requirements.
• Prior VA and telehealth Sleep Medicine experience is preferred.

Requirements

• Telehealth and virtual patient care skills.
• Sleep study review and interpretation.
• Electronic Health Record (EHR) proficiency.
• Familiarity with VistA, Oracle Health EHR, and Somnoware preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Credentialing / Onboarding time: 6 weeks to 8 weeks.
