Role Description

Respiratory Emerging Therapeutics Medical Advisor North is a pivotal hybrid medical affairs role with an external focus that connects GSK to the healthcare community. This non-promotional, customer-oriented position focuses on advancing clinical practice across Belgium, improving patient outcomes and covers respiratory development programs. The Emerging Therapeutics Medical Advisor brings deep clinical and respiratory therapeutic expertise and market/landscape knowledge to engage with Healthcare Providers (HCPs) and account personnel, in alignment with GSK's medical strategies and plans.

Key objectives of the Emerging Therapeutics Medical Advisor include:

• Strategic and operational ownership of the local medical emerging therapeutics plan & objectives.
• Engaging with various community and academic experts.
• Facilitating scientific exchange.
• Serving as a medical resource.

These scientific interactions aim to ensure that healthcare providers, and when relevant payers and other decision makers understand:

• The unmet patient and healthcare needs.
• The evolving treatment landscape.
• The benefit/risk profile of GSK medicines for their safe and appropriate use.
• Improved patient outcomes and closure of gaps in unmet medical need.

The Emerging Therapeutics Medical Advisor role is crucial for:

• Identifying disease and product-related medical needs.
• Ensuring the exchange of scientific knowledge.
• Capturing and communicating medical insights or data gaps.
• Facilitating research to advance clinical practice & trials.

Qualifications

• Doctorate level with a medical or clinical focus (Pharm D, PHD, or MD) or MS- advanced science/clinical/healthcare related degree with relevant clinical, industry experience.
• Respiratory Therapeutic Experience preferably in Belgium.
• 2+ years Medical Affairs experience and pre-launch readiness involvement (preferably medical advisor experience).
• 2+ years’ experience in clinical research or clinical operations in humans and has practical experience applying this knowledge in a respiratory & specialty focused clinical setting.
• Experience & excellent communication engaging in peer-to-peer scientific dialogue with medical professionals and decision makers.
• Experience in driving medical plans.
• Experience identifying opportunities for medical engagement and developing scientific engagement goals.
• Experience developing relationships with external HCPs, KOLs, and external experts and with internal stakeholders and key decision makers.
• Fluency in French and English (spoken and written) is required.

Requirements

• Previous clinical experience in situations where direct/or indirect decision-making authority for patient care was demonstrated (e.g., direct patient care, treatment protocol development, drug therapy guidelines development, traditional clinical pharmacy practice settings).
• Proven track record of consistent, high performance.
• Above average computer literacy (e.g. utilizing AI and digital fluency), including experience with software applications.
• Proficiency in Dutch is an added advantage.

Benefits

• Annual gross base salary range for new hires in this position is EUR 73,950 to EUR 123,250.
• This position may offer an annual bonus and eligibility to participate in our share-based long-term incentive program which is dependent on the level of the role.
