Role Description

As a Registered Dietitian, you will provide comprehensive nutrition assessments, evidence-based education, and guidance with creating SMART goals, to members through telephonic and video visits. You will independently manage your workload, coordinate referrals and consultations from multiple sources, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team that includes nurses, pharmacists, and exercise physiologists to support members' overall health and wellness goals. You will monitor member progress and assist with goal achievement, while also contributing to special projects and program initiatives. This role supports Banner plan members with a variety of nutrition and wellness-related needs, including:

• Adolescents with elevated BMIs
• Cardiovascular disease
• Diabetes

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of experience as a Registered Dietitian, with a strong background in both inpatient and outpatient, clinic, or wellness settings, and the ability to thrive in a flexible, virtual care environment. This is a remote role with flexible Monday-Friday work shifts, totaling 40 hours per week. CANDIDATES MUST RESIDE IN THE STATE OF AZ TO BE CONSIDERED.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or equivalent coursework
• Registered Dietitian or RD Eligible based on academic and professional requirements as defined by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) of The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics
• Effective January 1, 2024, CDR requires a minimum of Master's degree to be eligible to take the registration examination
• Must possess RD credentials within 6 months of hire
• Current registration through the Commission on Dietetic Registration of The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics
• Current licensure as required by State law
• Effective communication skills and ability to function independently
• Ability to prioritize assigned patient case load

Requirements

• Knowledge of nutrition and dietetics
• Employees working at Banner Behavioral Health Hospital, BTMC Behavioral, and BUMG, BUMCT, or BUMCS in a Behavioral Health clinical setting that serves children must possess an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card at the time of hire and maintain the card for the duration of their employment
• An Arizona Criminal History Affidavit must be signed upon hire
