[Hiring] Multi-Specialty Pro-fee Medical Coder @Gebbs Healthcare Solutions Inc

Role Description

GeBBS is looking for a Multi-Specialty Pro-Fee Medical Coder (OBGYN & Urology) for part-time work, requiring a minimum of 10 hours per week. More hours (15-20) may be available for candidates with experience in other specialties, but primary care experience is necessary for additional hours.

• Strong multi-specialty coding expertise required.
• Minimum of five years of coding experience.
• Current and consistent coding work in the following specialties is necessary.
• Experience in both OBGYN and Urology coding is essential.
• Primary Care coding experience needed for more than 10 hours per week.
• OBGYN/Wellness Visits for one provider = 5 hours a week.
• Urology visits and procedures = 5 hours a week.
• Primary Care visits = 5-10 hours a week (if they want more than 10 hours).
• EPIC and PatientKeeper experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with billing and coding edits and denials is required.

• Medical Coding from documentation: Reads the documentation and applies appropriate CPT, modifiers, ICD-10 codes, etc.
• Charge Review WQ’s: Reviewing providers' submitted coding in EPIC against documentation and recommending coding changes.
• Claim Edit WQ’s: Reviewing providers' submitted coding in EPIC against documentation and working Clearing House rejections/edits.
• Follow-Up WQ’s: Reviewing providers' submitted coding in EPIC against post-bill denials/edits and recommending coding changes.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years' experience with current ProFee hospital coding.
• IP and OP (POS 21, 22, 11) experience.
• Current CPC or equivalent through the AAPC or AHIMA.
• Ability to code accurately and maintain a quality score of 95% or greater.
• EPIC experience preferred.
• Patient Keeper experience preferred.
• Experience with Medicaid of California guidelines strongly preferred.
• Applicants must pass a ProFee coding assessment(s).
• Comfortable working with technology (MS Office, Teams, VPN).

• Urethrorrhaphy.
• Repairs.
• Biopsies.
