Role Description
Getinge is recruiting a Medical Affairs Manager β Cardiovascular / Vascular Surgery to join our global Medical Affairs organization. This is a fully remote position with global responsibilities, ideally suited to a candidate based in Spain or Southern Europe.
As Medical Affairs Manager, you will:

Act as a clinical and scientific subject matter expert, providing medical expertise to internal and external stakeholders.

Build and maintain strong scientific relationships with surgeons, healthcare professionals and key opinion leaders (KOLs).

Engage in scientific exchange with HCPs and provide accurate, balanced and compliant responses to medical and scientific information requests.

Represent Medical Affairs within global cross-functional teams, collaborating with Clinical, Regulatory Affairs, R&D, Risk Management, Marketing and Business Development.

Contribute to the development and execution of the Medical Affairs strategy and related strategic projects.

Monitor scientific and clinical developments and perform or contribute to systematic literature reviews.

Support clinical evaluation and Post-Market Clinical Follow-up (PMCF) activities and associated documentation.

Provide medical expertise in the assessment of complaints and adverse events, representing the clinical perspective of both patients and healthcare professionals.

Participate in product risk management, including the assessment of clinical risks, safety and performance data, usability hazards and benefit-risk profiles.

Provide medical and scientific input for global regulatory submissions and interact with regulatory stakeholders when required.

Contribute to the development and review of scientific and technical documentation, including medical assessments, SOPs, educational materials and scientific communications.

Support continuous improvement initiatives across Medical Affairs and related functions.
Qualifications

A Medical Degree with specialization and clinical experience in Cardiovascular and/or Vascular Surgery.

Previous professional experience in the Medical Device industry, ideally with cardiovascular, vascular surgery or closely related surgical devices.

Strong knowledge of medical devices used in surgical and interventional environments, their clinical application, associated risks and relevant treatment pathways.

Experience working with or providing medical/scientific expertise on medical devices throughout their lifecycle, for example within Medical Affairs, Clinical Affairs, clinical evaluation, PMCF, risk management, regulatory activities or medical writing.

The ability to critically review and interpret scientific literature and clinical evidence.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage confidently with surgeons, HCPs and scientific experts.

The ability to collaborate effectively within a global, cross-functional and matrix organization.

Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills.

A high degree of autonomy and accountability.

Fluent professional English, both written and spoken.

Willingness to travel internationally approximately 20% of the time.
Requirements

Please note that previous experience specifically within the Medical Device industry is required for this position.

Profiles with experience exclusively in pharmaceuticals, drug development, microbiology, biotechnology or other non-medical-device environments will not be considered.
