Role Description
The Manager of Behavioral Health Nurse Practitioners (NP) reports to the Senior Vice President of Direct Care Delivery, with accountability for providing strategy, judgment, organization, and evidenced-based analysis to influence decisions, and directly to meet Grace at Home requirements.
Duties & Responsibilities

Administrative:
-
Daily clinical and operational oversight of clinical outcomes and productivity of the Behavioral Health of BHNPs and LCSW team with 0.2 FTE administrative time allocated.

Training and Mentoring of BH clinical staff.

Direct Patient Care:
-
Conduct psychiatric evaluations, assess mental health status, and diagnose mental health conditions. Direct patient care accounts for 0.8 FTE of the 1.0 FTE allocated to this position.

Develop and manage individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices.

Prescribe, monitor, and adjust psychotropic medications while ensuring patient education on their use.

Provide psychotherapy and therapeutic interventions to individuals or groups.

Collaborate with other healthcare providers to coordinate comprehensive care.

Maintain accurate patient records and document progress in line with regulatory standards.

Educate patients and families on mental health, treatment options, and coping strategies.

Leadership:
The Manager of Behavioral Health NP will lead in defining and executing strategies and solutions to create business value in behavioral health care, including building a team of NPs and LCSWs to design, develop, and execute those strategies and solutions to deliver desired outcomes.

The Manager of Behavioral Health NP will establish the business strategy and roadmap:

Improve outcomes for Grace at Home members.

Enhance the efficacy of other Grace at Home business divisions.

Develop and deliver external market opportunities for Grace at Home Care products and services.

Collaboration:
The Manager of Behavioral Health NP will ensure that nursing capabilities form a cohesive offering, including by working closely with other business divisions to learn their needs, internalize their knowledge, and define solutions to achieve the business objectives of Grace at Home.

Knowledge:
The Manager Behavioral Health NP will provide subject matter expertise in the nursing solutions, including determining and recommending approaches for behavioral health/solution deployment and performance evaluation.

Qualifications

Education: Masterβs degree or higher as a BHNP or equivalent degree with a record of strong academic achievement.

NP license in the state of practice and willingness to obtain licensure in multiple states. Must be licensed in at minimum one of the states of NY, IL, or GA.

Board Certifications.

Experience: At least 5 years of behavioral health experience.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years of relevant healthcare experience in the healthcare industry.

Communication: Excellent verbal, written communication, and presentation skills; ability to clearly articulate and present concepts and models in an accessible manner to Grace at Home's team, investors, partners, and other stakeholders.

Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications.

Relationships: Ability to build and effectively manage relationships with business leaders and external constituents.

Requirements

Work is performed indoors in a setting with air conditioning and artificial light.

Travel to and work in offices or other environments is required.

Regular use of the telephone and e-mail for communication is essential.

Sitting for extended periods is common.

Must be able to receive ordinary information and to prepare or inspect documents.

Lifting of up to 10 lbs. occasionally may be required.

Good manual dexterity for the use of common office equipment such as computer terminals, calculators, copiers, and FAX machines.
