[Hiring] Insurance Verification Specialist I @Nemadji

Role Description

• Navigate hospital systems remotely to investigate account status.
• Request and obtain eligibility documentation of patient's coverage via web, phone calls, or written requests.
• Update accounts to appropriate status based on information found in the hospital system and account protocols.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma.
• Medical office experience in registration and/or patient account systems (preferred).
• Understanding of medical insurance payers (preferred).
• Understanding of medical billing rules and practices (preferred).
• Proficient in Excel, Word, and Outlook (preferred).
• Ability to work in a high volume, fast-paced environment balancing speed and accuracy (preferred).

Requirements

• Ability to obtain a professional certification, such as CRCS-I or CPAR during the first year of employment (study materials and test provided).
