[Hiring] VP of Marketing @Modash

Role Description

We’re hiring a VP of marketing to help us scale this early traction. We need someone context-driven who knows what it looks like to lead a great team to the promised land.

• Decides where to allocate resources.
• Makes sure our people are working on the right things.
• Defines how marketing collaborates with other teams.
• Figures out what is needed from marketing for the next stage of our growth.
• Has enough taste to separate “good” from “truly great.”

What you’ll actually own

• Lead Platform marketing and the team behind it.
• Make the Modash story land.
• Help shape where Modash goes next.

What the day-to-day looks like

• Running 1-1s with marketing team leads.
• Working with finance on next year’s account value goal.
• Review existing teams and initiatives.
• Coordinating with Sales on inbound demo requests.

Qualifications

• A track record of product marketing and creative work that made product stories resonate.
• A key marketing role in helping a company grow from roughly $20M toward $100M in revenue.
• Leadership of several marketing teams and their leads.
• Repositioning a product for larger customers or growing account value through cross-selling.
• Deep experience in more than one marketing channel (e.g., product marketing, ads, SEO/AEO, creator partnerships).
• Building lasting collaboration across Marketing, Product, and Sales.
• Clear writing, sound decision-making, and the ability to bring people along.

Requirements

• You don’t need to have held a VP title before.
• You might have been Head of Marketing, Director of Marketing, or something similarly shaped.
• You don’t need decades of experience, just proof that you’ve run a marketing machine that worked.
• If you’ve mostly worked at very large, established brands, this probably isn’t the right fit.
• The same goes if you want to focus only on brand or only on demand generation.
