[Hiring] Social Media Manager @Mother's Earth

Role Description

We are looking for an experienced freelance Social Media Manager to own our social channels end to end, on a full-time basis. You will plan and run the content calendar, keep our brand voice and look consistent across every channel, and build an engaged community around the brand.

This is not a junior posting role. You bring a strategic view of what social should do for a DTC brand, a sharp eye for trends, the design skills to create or adapt assets yourself, and the judgement to work independently with our creative team.

What you’ll do

• Plan and execute the social media content calendar across all channels, aligned with launches, promotions and brand campaigns.
• Shape the social strategy: which channels, content formats and themes we prioritise, and why.
• Spot social media trends early and turn the relevant ones into on-brand content quickly.
• Adapt and cross-post content across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Pinterest and LinkedIn, tailoring format, copy and timing to each platform.
• Ensure a consistent brand voice and visual identity across every post, story and comment.
• Design and adapt social assets yourself (posts, carousels, stories, short-form video edits) when speed matters.
• Manage the posting schedule and make sure content goes live on time.
• Build and grow an engaged community: lead comments, DMs and conversations with our customers, working with our customer service team.
• Coordinate with the creative team on briefs, content assets and feedback.
• Track performance and report monthly on what works, with clear recommendations for the next month.

Qualifications

• Availability full-time on weekdays, preferably starting early in the morning (CET).
• A portfolio showing work for established e-commerce brands, with the results you delivered. Experience limited to small local businesses will not be considered.
• 4+ years in social media management, with ownership of brand channels (not only executing someone else’s plan).
• Experience with a DTC e-commerce brand in home care, cleaning, beauty, personal care or a similar consumer category.
• A strong understanding of social media trends and a track record of building engaged communities, not just follower numbers.
• Experience running and cross-posting content across multiple channels at the same time.
• Strong design skills: confident creating on-brand assets in Canva, Figma, Adobe or similar.
• Proven ability to build and run a content calendar and deliver on time, independently.
• Community management experience, with a warm, on-brand tone in comments and DMs.
• Comfortable with social analytics and turning numbers into decisions.
• Excellent written English.

Requirements

• Short-form video editing (Reels, TikTok).
• Experience with sustainable or eco-conscious brands.
• Familiarity with paid social, UGC or creator collaborations.
• Other European languages like German, French or Dutch.
