Role Description

As our Senior Reddit Strategist, you own how every client shows up on Reddit: the plan, the people doing the work and the quality of what goes live.

• Lead our Reddit marketers and community managers.
• Decide what each client should be doing and when.
• Review the work before it posts and make the hard calls.
• Be the trusted person for each client regarding their presence on Reddit.
• Engage in threads, review drafts, and write when necessary.
• Help shape the playbook every client runs on.

What the work actually looks like

• Plan each client's program:
  • Tailor our playbook to each brand.
  • Set up the brand's accounts and participate in high-priority threads.
  • Create the brand's own subreddit and build their community.
  • Own the creative strategy for organic or paid ideas.
• Lead the marketers:
  • Ensure each client's Reddit marketer and community manager stay on track.
  • Review drafts before anything goes live.
  • Make calls on tricky threads and coach each marketer weekly.
• Own the client relationship:
  • Run each client's monthly call to discuss progress and next steps.
  • Act as their account manager early on.
• Train clients on Reddit:
  • Teach clients how Reddit works and what to expect.
• Make the playbook better:
  • Provide feedback on what worked and what didn't for future clients.

Everything we post is disclosed and approved before it goes live. When a high-priority thread breaks, the team is in it fast, and you make sure that happens.

Qualifications

• A deep understanding of Reddit culture.
• At least 3 years of working on Reddit professionally.
• Experience running Reddit Ads for brands or working at Reddit Inc.
• Proven track record of running Reddit strategy for brands.
• Experience managing, training, or reviewing other people's work.
• Preference for hands-on work over purely management.
• Comfortable working fully disclosed, under real names.

Requirements

• 5+ years in a role directly tied to Reddit (preferred).
• Experience working at Reddit Inc., ideally on Karma Lab.
• Agency experience.
• Data fluency to analyze program metrics and explain them to clients.
• Experience running organic Reddit or community for a brand.
• Knowledge of consumer ecommerce brands.
• Experience managing freelancers across time zones.
• Familiarity with SEO or AEO/GEO.

Compensation

• $72K to $212K a year, plus 0.25% to 0.5% equity.
• The exact pay depends on your seniority and the number of clients you manage.

• This is a full-time role.

Location

• Fully remote, in the US or Canada.
• Meetings during North American business hours.
