[Hiring] Senior Product Marketing Manager @Upbound

Role Description

Upbound is hiring a Senior Product Marketing Manager that will own go-to-market for our AI inference portfolio. You will help define how enterprises understand our commercial product and our open source roots. The community narrative and the enterprise narrative have to reinforce each other without collapsing into each other.

In this role you will:

• Develop positioning and messaging for our AI inference portfolio, including message architecture, value framework, and proof behind every claim.
• Track the AI inference and infrastructure landscape, arm the field, and hold a defensible point of view on market strategy.
• Manage launches end to end, from narrative and press through analyst briefings to sales enablement.
• Conduct persona and journey work for CIOs, VPs of Engineering, VPs of AI, and platform teams evaluating us.
• Create sales enablement materials that sellers actually use, including sales plays, discovery questions, objection handling, cost and ROI models, and customer stories.
• Provide pricing and packaging input grounded in how enterprises buy and budget for AI infrastructure.
• Differentiate the open source to commercial path, clarifying the relationship between project and product narratives.
• Act as a named spokesperson, briefing analysts, prepping executives, and engaging with the community.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in B2B enterprise software product marketing, with experience in infrastructure, developer, or data platform products sold to technical buyers.
• Experience with enterprise go-to-market strategies that closed real revenue.
• Genuine technical depth with working knowledge of AI and Inference, cloud infrastructure, and modern software deployment.
• Experience marketing both open source and commercial products within the same organization.
• Experience taking a new, technically ambitious product to market.
• Proven writing skills with the ability to ship copy.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with comfort in ambiguity.
• Strong trust with engineers and senior sales leaders.

Requirements

• Direct experience marketing AI or ML infrastructure, including inference serving, GPU capacity, or MLOps.
• Fluency in the CNCF and/or PyTorch ecosystem.
• Experience with hyperscaler or cloud marketplace route-to-market (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Training in a value messaging discipline such as Command of the Message or equivalent frameworks.
• Experience as the first or only PMM on a product, building the function from scratch.
