Role Description
We are looking for a strategic, commercially-minded Senior Marketing Manager to lead Instacart Enterprise's go-to-market efforts across the UK and Europe. This is a foundational, full-funnel role β spanning brand, demand generation, sales enablement, partnerships, and events β that requires someone who can set strategy and execute it. You will be the primary marketing point of contact for our European commercial organization, working in close coordination with US-based BD, product marketing, growth marketing, PR, and partnerships teams. The role reports into the US. This is a remote position based in the Netherlands.
About the Role
-
Own the European marketing strategy end-to-end: set the approach, manage the roadmap, and report on performance against commercial objectives including pipeline contribution and deal support.
-
Deeply understand the European grocery technology landscape β including the competitive set, retailer buying dynamics, and the market-by-market nuances that shape how decisions get made.
-
Adapt and maintain localized brand and product narratives, as well as sales enablement assets, for priority markets (UK, FR, ES, DE) that will resonate with our target audience.
-
Coordinate with the growth marketing team and local agencies to plan and execute full-funnel digital campaigns, including paid search, LinkedIn, programmatic, and trade media placements.
-
Oversee EU website localization and optimization efforts to ensure Instacart Enterprise has a credible, locally relevant digital presence.
-
Develop a thought leadership and content marketing strategy in collaboration with PR that provide Instacart with independent, data-led credibility in European markets.
-
Work with the partnerships team to develop co-marketing materials and joint GTM programs with referral partners including consulting firms, complementary technology companies, and trade associations.
-
Manage on-the-ground event logistics and stakeholder coordination for European trade shows and proprietary/partner events, working with the central events team and local vendors to ensure seamless execution.
Qualifications
-
8β10+ years of experience in B2B marketing at a SaaS or enterprise technology company, with meaningful experience owning marketing in a specific geography or international market.
-
Proven track record of introducing technology into new or nascent markets β building brand awareness, establishing credibility, and generating pipeline where little existed before.
-
Strong understanding of complex B2B sales cycles and how marketing supports multi-quarter enterprise deals.
-
Experience with partner marketing strategies, including co-marketing and channel sales.
-
Proven ability to develop market-specific positioning and messaging that adapts a global platform narrative for local buyer needs and language.
-
Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to synthesize complex products into compelling narratives and crisp sales tools.
-
Highly organized with strong project management skills β comfortable managing multiple concurrent workstreams across internal teams and external vendors.
-
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively across time zones and functions, and to influence stakeholders without direct authority.
-
Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment with a high degree of ambiguity and a bias for action.
Requirements
-
Experience marketing enterprise technology to grocery or food retail audiences (a plus).
-
Familiarity with the European grocery retail landscape (a plus).
-
Fluency in one or more European languages (a plus, not a requirement).
-
Experience in a high-growth or expansion-stage company (a plus).
Benefits
-
Remote position based in the Netherlands.
