Role Description
We are seeking a seasoned and strategic Senior Manager of Events and Sponsorships to lead and evolve Fortra’s global events and sponsorship strategy. This individual will oversee the planning, execution, and optimization of a comprehensive events program that drives brand visibility, lead generation, and pipeline growth. The ideal candidate is a visionary leader with deep experience in event marketing, cross-functional collaboration, and team development.

Strategic Leadership:
Develop and lead the global events and sponsorship strategy aligned with Fortra’s marketing and business objectives.

Team Management:
Lead and mentor a team of event professionals, fostering growth, collaboration, and operational excellence.

Event Planning and Execution:
Oversee the planning and execution of all events with the ability to take ownership of up to 5-8 regional events per year to assist with team workload. This would consist of events logistics coordination and post-event processes.

Budget Management:
Develop and manage event department budget, ensuring the team stays within budget while maximizing ROI.

Team Collaboration:
Ensure a consistent and cohesive Fortra message is brought to all events.

Vendor Management:
Manage relationships and contracts with our vendors and other third-party providers. Look to create budget and process efficiencies with all events vendors.

Onsite Management:
Provide on-the-ground support during events as needed, ensuring all activities run smoothly and addressing any issues that arise. Travel requirements are 10–15% annually.

Measurement and Analysis:
Own events pipeline and ROI reporting.

Program Growth:
Continuously work towards improving and optimizing the event experience for our prospects and customers.

Cross Collaboration:
Collaborate and communicate with internal stakeholders to ensure event strategy buy-in; updating leadership teams on event updates and analytics as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, or related field.

Five to seven years of tradeshow and event experience, B2B cybersecurity is preferred.

Three to five years of management experience.

Strong cross-departmental communication skills.

Strong time management skills and can manage multiple priorities within tight time constraints.

Do-what-it-takes mindset to execute against strategy.

Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills.

Creative thinker with a keen eye for detail.

Willingness to travel as needed.

Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and eager to have an impact on a rapidly growing organization.

Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics CRM, marketing automation tools, and Wrike, is a plus.

This position requires proficiency in English to interact, support and/or provide services to non-French speaking customers, employees and/or partners inside and/or outside the province of Quebec.

Expected Compensation
