Role Description

Great Day Improvements is seeking a Performance Marketing Manager to join our team, with dedicated responsibility for supporting Universal Windows Direct. This role will play a key part in driving UWD's continued growth across its 12 markets by overseeing paid search and paid social performance, strengthening agency partnerships, and optimizing marketing investments to deliver measurable business results.

The ideal candidate is a highly analytical, results-driven marketing professional with hands-on paid media experience and a passion for using data to drive measurable improvements. Working closely with UWD's VP of Marketing, this individual will evaluate campaign performance, challenge agency recommendations, identify optimization opportunities, and connect marketing investments to qualified leads, appointments, and profitable growth.

This is a highly visible, individual contributor role offering the opportunity to influence marketing performance, strengthen agency accountability, and help shape data-driven decisions across a growing, multi-market organization.

Responsibilities

  • Paid Media Strategy & Optimization: Oversee day-to-day paid search and paid social performance across Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising, Meta, and other relevant platforms. Evaluate campaign structure, bidding strategies, targeting, creative, landing pages, tracking, and testing to identify optimization opportunities.
  • Agency Management & Accountability: Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for paid media agency partners, leading performance reviews, challenging recommendations, establishing expectations, monitoring deliverables, and coordinating approved optimization initiatives.
  • Performance Analysis & Reporting: Analyze campaign, platform, CRM, and sales funnel data to evaluate marketing effectiveness, identify trends and performance gaps, and translate findings into actionable recommendations that improve lead quality, appointments, and business results.
  • Market-Level Performance Management: Monitor marketing performance across UWD's 12 markets, identifying opportunities and challenges based on local demand, staffing, operational capacity, seasonality, and business objectives. Recommend adjustments to marketing investments and priorities accordingly.
  • Budget Planning & Forecasting: Support channel- and market-level budget development, monitor spending and pacing, maintain forecasts, investigate variances, and recommend investment reallocations based on performance and business needs.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Marketing leadership, Finance/FP&A, agency partners, and operational stakeholders to align marketing investments with financial forecasts, market needs, and organizational goals.
  • Testing & Continuous Improvement: Develop and manage paid media testing plans with agency partners, establish hypotheses and success measures, analyze results, and identify opportunities to improve campaign effectiveness and return on investment.
  • Project Management & Execution: Track marketing initiatives, agency commitments, project timelines, responsibilities, and outstanding issues to ensure accountability, timely execution, and clear communication across stakeholders.
  • Strategic Insights & Recommendations: Present clear, data-driven performance insights and recommendations to leadership, proactively identify emerging opportunities or risks, and escalate significant strategic or investment decisions to the VP of Marketing.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Analytics, Finance, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 5+ years of performance marketing or paid media experience, including hands-on responsibility for planning, managing, evaluating, and optimizing both paid search and paid social campaigns.
  • Strong expertise in paid search and paid social strategies, including keyword strategy, bidding, audience targeting, creative testing, campaign optimization, conversion tracking, attribution, and lead-generation economics.
  • Strong analytical and advanced Excel/spreadsheet skills, with experience evaluating multiple campaigns, analyzing data from various sources, identifying trends and performance issues, and translating insights into actionable recommendations that improve qualified leads, appointments, and business outcomes.
  • Experience with marketing budget management, including planning, forecasting, spend pacing, variance analysis, and financial reporting.
  • Ability to connect marketing performance with business objectives, including understanding market conditions, staffing, operational capacity, and opportunities to improve results.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and project management skills, with the ability to present complex data clearly, collaborate across Marketing, Finance/FP&A, and operational teams, and drive accountability.
  • Experience working with agency partners, including evaluating performance, constructively challenging recommendations, and coordinating optimization efforts without direct authority.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising, and Meta Ads Manager, along with familiarity with GA4, business intelligence/reporting tools, CRM data, and lead-to-appointment measurement.
  • Experience in multi-location, home improvement, direct-to-consumer, or lead-generation businesses.
  • Experience overseeing paid media agencies, including performance reviews, testing strategies and roadmaps, budget discussions, and market-level investment recommendations.

Benefits

  • Salary Range: $95,000 – $115,000 base compensation, plus eligibility for a 20% annual target variable compensation (VC) bonus.
  • Total target annual compensation ranges from $114,000 – $138,000, inclusive of base salary and target VC.
  • Flexible remote work with occasional travel to the Cleveland, Ohio headquarters.
