[Hiring] Mid-Level Game Capture Artist @Keywords Studios

Role Description

We're looking for a Game Capture Artist to join our award-winning team. You'll stage, shoot and scrutinise in-engine shots across specialised development builds to create the best content possible for our clients.

• Create high-quality in-engine capture using game development builds and Unity projects, including setting up cameras, staging scenes and characters, and rendering high-resolution, high-frame-rate footage through the Unity Recorder and Unreal's Movie Render Queue.
• Meet capture deadlines, managing your own time efficiently.
• Maintain a sharp eye on quality, pushing lighting, post-processing, resolution and detail levels to achieve the best possible image.
• Select and stage shots that meet the brief, telling a story through capture and showcasing each game and its features.
• Fully understand the latest build and project version of each game, acting as the main point of contact for all game and engine updates.
• Edit captured footage in After Effects and Premiere Pro, using editing techniques to enhance excitement.
• Build and maintain reusable capture setups, such as camera rigs, Timeline sequences and lighting presets.
• Gather high-quality assets (characters, environments, UI, renders) and export them from the engine when needed.

Qualifications

• A passionate gamer with a broad appreciation of mobile, PC and console titles.
• A willingness to learn each game and its project setup inside out.
• Ability to adapt to changing game development builds and Unity projects.
• An understanding of game trends and marketing across the gaming landscape.
• Creative problem solving skills.
• A keen eye for composition, camera movement, lighting and framing.
• An eagerness to develop in-engine cinematography techniques and creative storytelling skills.
• A collaborator who can work efficiently with creative, editorial and client-side development teams.
• Strong proficiency in Unity (essential), including Cinemachine, Timeline, and the Unity Recorder.
• Working knowledge of Unreal Engine (highly desirable).
• Previous experience in a game capture, in-engine cinematics or trailer production role (essential).
• Knowledge of Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro.
• PC proficient, with experience capturing from both PC and mobile builds (Android/iOS).
