Role Description
The Merchandising Specialist position offers an exciting opportunity to drive brand acquisition, optimization, and merchandising efforts within a dynamic e-commerce environment. This role focuses on researching and onboarding new brands, managing product catalogues, supporting marketing initiatives, and ensuring a seamless brand experience across the platform.
- Research and reach out to potential new brands, handle onboarding, and lead communication about compliance and asset requirements.
- Negotiate and manage contracts with new brand partners and present them to internal stakeholders.
- Strengthen relationships with existing and new brands by identifying key contacts, supporting marketing plans, and helping brands perform better on our platform.
- Keep product listings up to date, raise tickets for system issues, perform regular audits, and analyse product discontinuation trends.
- Benchmark competitor offerings to help improve our merchandising strategy.
- Support the marketing and design teams by managing brand materials (like banners and EDMs), making sure assets are up to date, and helping with marketing campaigns and website improvements.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in merchandising, brand management, or a similar role in e-commerce
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, especially when working with external partners and contracts
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables and data analysis
- Experience in competitor benchmarking and market research
- Basic Adobe Photoshop knowledge
- Detail-oriented, organised, and able to work well under pressure
- A strong team player with a positive attitude
- Fluent in English (reading and writing – CET 6 or equivalent)
- A degree in E-commerce or a related field is a plus
