Role Description

As a contract-based Marketing Specialist, you will support a fast-paced, collaborative marketing team within a dynamic, end-to-end corporate marketing department. Reporting to the Manager of School Marketing, you will help execute omni-channel campaigns that drive new student enrollment and increase engagement across Stride’s portfolio of online schools.

In this role, you will support our schools by collaborating with cross-functional teams—including creative, demand generation, web, analytics, email, product, organic social, enrollment, and external agencies—to deliver marketing programs with accuracy and consistency. This position provides exposure to a wide range of marketing channels and offers an opportunity to build foundational marketing skills while supporting Stride’s mission and enrollment goals.

The Marketing Specialist (Contract) supports the planning, development, and execution of marketing campaigns in support of Stride’s core business—our management of 70+ online schools. This role is execution-focused and designed to build core marketing capabilities through hands-on project support, coordination, and campaign execution.

In this position, you will:

• Assist with campaign execution, coordinate assets and deliverables, and support performance tracking and documentation.
• Gain experience in a collaborative, mission-driven marketing organization.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of professional or internship experience in marketing, communications, or a related field OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to follow processes and manage assigned tasks with guidance.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to learn new tools, platforms, and marketing concepts.
• High standards for accuracy, quality, and accountability.

Requirements

• Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work both independently and within a team-oriented environment.
• Excellent presentation skills with ability to leverage technology effectively.
• Ability to travel 10% of the time (minimal e.g. school board meetings / video shoot / team building events).
• Ability to clear required background check.
