[Hiring] Marketing Manager Revenue Cycle Coding-CDI Optimization @CommonSpirit Health

Role Description

As our Region Manager, Revenue Cycle Coding-CDI, you will drive strategic leadership and operational excellence across our medical coding and Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) teams. This pivotal role focuses on revenue cycle optimization, ensuring coding accuracy, and maintaining regulatory compliance throughout CommonSpirit Health (CSH).

• Provide direct oversight and unwavering support to coding and CDI professionals.
• Set clear performance expectations and foster accountability.
• Develop and implement innovative strategic plans to meet and exceed CSH enterprise KPIs.
• Conduct sophisticated data analysis and generate comprehensive KPI performance reports and dashboards.
• Serve as a liaison, building collaborative relationships with physicians, clinical quality teams, and patient financial services.

To be successful in this role, you will possess a proven track record in healthcare leadership, specifically within revenue cycle management, medical coding, and CDI program oversight.

• Demonstrate strong analytical capabilities for data interpretation and performance reporting.
• Exhibit exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
• Have a deep understanding of coding guidelines, DRG methodologies, CDI best practices, and healthcare compliance.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Nursing or HIM required.
• Must possess RHIA certification and obtain CDIP within 90 days of hire, along with CCS.
• 5+ years of recent management experience overseeing hospital-based coding and CDI teams.
• Proven experience in managing coding/CDI in a Level I/II trauma center or teaching hospital.
• Proficient with various leading encoder systems (e.g., Optum eCAC, Solventum) and EMR platforms (e.g., Epic, Cerner, Meditech).
• Strong understanding of how coding and CDI contribute to revenue cycle integrity and KPIs.

Requirements

• Ability to identify and determine resolution of complex issues.
• Assist CSH director in strategic planning.
• Ability to identify and interpret strategic and operational training/development needs.
• Create Coding and CDI steering committee presentations.
• Lead coding/CDI department meetings and ensure a collaborative environment.
• Strong oral communication skills and the ability to deliver presentations to large groups.
• Collaborate with physicians, clinical quality, Coding/CDI Quality auditors, and safety net vendors.
