[Hiring] Lead Marketing Operations Manager @Lumen Technologies

Role Description

The Lead Marketing Operations Manager will help shape and evolve Lumen’s marketing technology ecosystem, enabling reliable, scalable campaign execution and more connected customer experiences. This role leads the administration and optimization of Marketo and a complex MarTech stack, bringing together technology, data, process, and automation to improve how marketing operates at scale.

Working across Marketing, Sales, Technology, Product, Analytics, and external partners, this role translates business needs into practical technology solutions, drives operational excellence, and supports the adoption of new capabilities across the organization.

Work Location: Fully remote position open to candidates based anywhere in the U.S.

Main Responsibilities

• Administer and optimize Marketo and related marketing technologies to enable reliable, scalable campaign execution.
• Own the strategy, maintenance, monitoring, and optimization of integrations between Marketo and connected platforms, including Salesforce, Demandbase, Conversica, Knak, NeverBounce, ZoomInfo, and OneTrust.
• Lead onboarding of new marketing technologies and integrations, including strategy, security reviews, configuration, testing, deployment, documentation, and ongoing support.
• Improve operational efficiency through effective project management, process optimization, and change management.
• Drive improvements in data quality, compliance, segmentation, and customer experience across the marketing technology ecosystem.
• Perform quality assurance for Marketo campaigns prior to deployment and establish standards that strengthen consistency, scalability, and campaign performance.
• Own documentation, process guidance, and operational resources that enable knowledge sharing, consistency, and effective stakeholder communication.
• Partner across Marketing, Sales, Technology, Product, and Analytics to translate evolving business requirements into scalable technology and automation solutions.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience administering and optimizing Marketo in enterprise environments.
• Experience supporting large-scale marketing automation programs and campaign operations.
• Strong experience with Salesforce integrations and complex marketing technology ecosystems.
• Experience managing integrations across multiple marketing technologies and supporting data-driven marketing operations.
• Experience developing documentation, process maps, operational procedures, and training materials.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts to nontechnical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Marketo Certified Expert (MCE) certification.
• Experience with multiple marketing automation platforms, including HubSpot, Eloqua, or Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
• Experience supporting enterprise MarTech ecosystems including Salesforce, Demandbase, Conversica, ZoomInfo, OneTrust, NeverBounce, webinar platforms, and event technologies.
• Familiarity with Workfront or similar project management platforms.

Compensation

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.

• $105,786 - $141,047 in these states: AL, AR, AZ, FL, GA, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, ME, MO, MS, MT, ND, NE, NM, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TN, UT, VT, WI, WV, WY
• $111,074 - $148,099 in these states: CO, HI, MI, MN, NC, NH, NV, OR, RI
• $116,364 - $155,152 in these states: AK, CA, CT, DC, DE, IL, MA, MD, NJ, NY, TX, VA, WA
