Role Description

Obsidian Security is seeking a Field Marketing Manager to lead the strategy and execution of marketing activities across the West. We're looking for a passionate person who builds strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, understands how to drive early-stage pipeline, and builds programs that accelerate sales cycles and close business. You will work closely with the Enterprise and Commercial sales teams to build strategic campaigns for their ideal target customers.

This high-visibility, high-impact role partners closely with the broader marketing, sales, and business development teams to drive awareness, demand, pipeline, and bookings.

What you will do:

• Own and manage the field marketing relationship with your regional sales teams.
• Build and execute a proactive regional events strategy, planning 6–9 months in advance.
• Ensure every field activity ladders up to the marketing campaigns in flight.
• Develop a baseline understanding of our product and what we do.
• Build regional communities of customers and prospects.
• Develop customer relationships to source customer speakers for regional and national events.
• Report out on the health of your regional business.
• Track, measure, and share the impact of every program, experiment, and failure.
• Manage overall budget and spend to deliver a significant return on the investment.
• Partner with sales leadership on territory planning.
• Be an advocate for the sales department.
• Work closely with our partnerships team to build strong co-marketing relationships.
• Leverage data to make intelligent, informed recommendations.
• Drive new levels of cross-channel and integrated marketing.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant Field and/or Partner Marketing experience.
• 5–7 years of working in the B2B SaaS space.
• Experience working with and supporting international sales teams.
• Ability to develop close, trusting relationships with sales.
• A strategic planner who thinks 6–9 months ahead.
• Experience building regional customer communities.
• Outcome-driven, analytical, customer-first.
• Proven track record of working collaboratively with various teams.
• Comfortable reporting on the business.
• Sets a high bar in quality, creativity, execution, and productivity.
• Extremely detail-oriented and organized.
• Experience supporting both direct sales and channel sales teams.
• A sense of humor and willingness to be authentic.
