Role Description
The Director of Marketing & Growth leads marketing strategy for Independence Dental Services and its partner practices, with one clear goal: profitable new-patient growth. This is a hands-on leader who ties every dollar of spend to patients, collections, and gross margin, and who uses AI and modern marketing technology to work faster and smarter. You will partner closely with executives, partner dentists, and operations leaders.
What You'll Do

Strategy & Budget
-
Build and execute corporate and practice-level marketing strategies, campaigns, and growth plans.
-
Own the annual and monthly marketing budget; shift spend based on practice needs and return.
-
Use market research and competitive data to identify target audiences and new-patient opportunities.
-
Performance & ROI
-
Own marketing reporting: acquisition cost, lead conversion, appointments, collections, ROI, and gross-margin impact.
-
Partner with Finance and Operations to validate results and turn findings into specific actions.
-
Digital Channels
-
Manage practice websites, SEO, paid search, Google Business Profiles, and social media to generate and convert new patients.
-
Hold agencies and vendors accountable for deliverables, spend, and results.
-
Practice Partnership

-
Present recommendations to leadership and train corporate and practice teams.
-
Support trade shows, industry events, and corporate events.
-
AI & Innovation
-
Test and adopt AI, automation, and emerging marketing tools that improve analysis, content, and campaign performance, and measure their business value.
Qualifications
-
10+ years of marketing experience, with a track record of profitable growth you can back up with data.
-
Strong command of marketing economics: ROI, acquisition cost, and gross margin.
-
Hands-on experience with Google Ads, SEO, analytics platforms, and Google Workspace.
-
Practical experience using AI tools to improve marketing efficiency and decision-making.
-
Clear communicator who can influence dentists, executives, and vendors without direct authority.

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
-
Dental, healthcare, or multi-location services experience preferred.
Work Environment
