Role Description

The Approved Newsletter Link Checker reviews the links in an assigned draft against the destinations supplied by the marketing team. Responsibilities include:

• Clicking through links to record incorrect or broken routes.
• Confirming the final approved version has been checked before it is passed on.
• Comparing wording around links with intended destinations and the team’s source list.
• Asking the editor for clarification when multiple plausible destinations exist.
• Documenting the check results to provide a clear list of tested links and any pending issues.

Additional details:

• Receiving a preview of an email and a document listing approved destinations.
• Confirming that content matches promised destinations.
• Noting broken pages or incorrect links.
• Understanding customer service considerations related to link accuracy.
• Checking each link in its own context when the same destination appears multiple times.
• Noting concerns outside the scope of the check without altering unrelated material.

Qualifications

• Confidence in using a web browser.
• Ability to keep a short record of results and explain problems precisely.
• Comfort in checking final previews after corrections.
• Related office administration or marketing experience is welcome, but not required.
• Ability to follow instructions and avoid misinterpreting a loaded page as proof of a correct link.
• No coding or advertising expertise is needed.

Requirements

• Ability to keep completed and unresolved checks distinct.
• Flagging unresolved issues to the responsible colleague before sending.
• Having a home office area to compare the newsletter and destination pages side by side.

Benefits

• Pay rate of £24.00–£26.00 per hour.
