Role Description

Navitus Health Solutions is seeking a Staff Attorney to join our team! The Staff Attorney will assist the Navitus Chief Legal Officer and Associate General Counsel with legal matters and be responsible for:

• Drafting legal documents and templates
• Performing legal research and analysis
• Managing document templates and corporate legal records
• Performing records research
• Preparing correspondence, all under limited supervision

Responsibilities

• Researches and analyzes statutes, judicial decisions, legal articles, contracts, and legal codes
• Drafts, reviews, and negotiates contracts on behalf of the organization
• Prepares additional legal documents, such as memorandums and correspondence
• Informs the development of new Navitus legal changes and provides guidance on legal issues
• Provides legal counsel to Navitus’ staff members on the implications of their business objectives and ensures that all of Navitus’ staff are informed of applicable policies and practices
• Files legal documents and correspondence in digital and physical filing systems
• Develops processes for the effective indexing and filing of legal documents and managing contracts
• Provides support to other departments as it pertains to contracts and business operations and regulatory affairs issues
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Completion of law degree from ABA accredited program is preferred
• License to practice law required
• Some experience working in a law firm or in-house legal department required
• Highly developed verbal and written communications skills to interact tactfully and effectively with others both internal and external to Navitus on sensitive and complex topics
• Ability to use a personal computer and possess advanced skills in software programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat
• Participate in, adhere to, and support compliance program objectives
• The ability to consistently interact cooperatively and respectfully with other employees
