Role Description

Experienced Solicitor - Casualty Injury Large Loss

Due to continued success and growth, DAC Beachcroft’s Casualty Injury Large Loss team is looking to recruit an experienced solicitor to manage their own caseload of Defendant EL/PL personal injury claims.

What you will do?

• Provide a timely, professional and high-quality service to clients in the management of claims.
• Be responsible for a varied caseload of pre-litigated and litigated work.
• Screen matters for prospects and liaise with clients upon receipt of instructions.
• Review instructions and provide client advice on case prospects.
• Resolve claims through negotiation and litigation within client service standards.
• Instruct experts and counsel, draft Witness Statements and other Court documents.
• Maintain contact with clients and their customers whilst proactively managing their expectations.
• Meet individual performance measures (financial performance, realisation rates and other KPIs).
• Support the Team Partners in delivering case clinics/surgeries/training to clients.
• Ensure that the DAC Beachcroft brand and standards are maintained.

Qualifications

• An experienced solicitor with previous experience in employers' liability and public claims, particularly those with an interest in health and social care claims.
• Proven communication skills at all levels.
• Excellent relationship and client handling skills.
• Able to deal confidently and professionally with clients on day-to-day issues.
• Demonstrate a reasonable level of self-sufficiency, combined with an awareness of the boundaries of own competence/authority.
• An ability to adopt a commercial perspective rather than an ‘academic’ approach to legal issues.
• Team oriented and collegiate with a willingness to share knowledge with and support other members of the team.
