Role Description

Stafford Consulting is seeking a Senior Acquisition Specialist to support federal procurement and contract management efforts. This role involves managing procurement requisitions, coordinating with federal stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with federal acquisition regulations and financial policies. Travel may be required to complete the security clearance process.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage Procurement Request (PR) packages for various acquisition activities.
• Collaborate with Program Managers, Contracting Officers, and stakeholders to validate documentation including solicitations, award packages, Statements of Work (SOW), Justifications, Determinations & Findings, Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCE), market surveys, and occupancy analyses.
• Maintain accurate electronic records in agency financial and procurement systems.
• Monitor open commitments and ensure obligations comply with fiscal law and federal policy.
• Various teams support these efforts, and most focus on contract closeouts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Finance, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience in federal procurement, contract management, or related acquisition functions.
• Prior experience with federal acquisition processes, market analysis, and contract documentation preferred.

Requirements

• Ability to obtain and maintain VA Security Clearance / CAC Card.
• Work within the core hours of 6-6 Pacific Standard Time.
• Remote (U.S.-based with periodic local VA office visits for CAC/equipment pickup).
