Role Description

The Ward Law Group is seeking an experienced Senior Case Manager to support plaintiff personal injury cases from intake through resolution, working under attorney supervision. This role involves close coordination with clients, medical providers, insurance carriers, and attorneys to keep cases progressing efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Possess expert knowledge of the bodily injury claims process.
• Manage an average caseload of 80 to 120 personal injury cases while maintaining quality and efficiency standards.
• Meet or exceed settlement and treatment goals while adhering to established case lifecycle timelines.
• Manage plaintiff personal injury cases from intake through resolution, including insurance communications, medical treatment coordination, and claim management.
• Coordinate with clients, medical providers, insurance carriers, and attorneys to support timely case progression and resolution.
• Maintain accurate, complete, and up-to-date case documentation and activity records in Litify.
• Assist with case-related activities and legal support functions under attorney supervision.
• Communicate effectively with clients in both English and Spanish as needed.
• Monitor claim status and proactively follow up on outstanding items to prevent delays and advance case resolution.
• Ensure compliance with firm procedures, documentation standards, and case management best practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in plaintiff personal injury case management.
• Experience handling personal injury claims, including familiarity with no-fault, bodily injury (BI), and uninsured/underinsured motorist (UM/SUM) claims.
• Experience working in a plaintiff personal injury law firm.
• Fluent in English and Spanish.
• Strong organizational, communication, and case management skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage a full caseload in a remote environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience using Litify or Salesforce.

Technical Requirements

• Contractors supply their own equipment and workspace. Your setup must meet these minimums:
• Computer capable of running a browser-based ATS, video conferencing, and a softphone simultaneously without degradation:
• Windows: Windows 11, Intel i5 (8th generation or newer) or equivalent, 16 GB RAM, 256 GB SSD.
• Mac: macOS 14 (Sonoma) or newer, Apple Silicon or Intel i5, 16 GB RAM, 256 GB SSD.
• The device must be used solely by you — not shared with family or household members.
• Internet: wired Ethernet preferred, 5 GHz Wi-Fi acceptable:
• 30 Mbps download / 15 Mbps upload minimum.
• Latency under 100 ms.
• Private, password-protected network. Public Wi-Fi is not permitted for this work.
• Peripherals:
• USB noise-cancelling headset with microphone.
• Webcam capable of clear video for scheduled calls.
• Security — required for handling confidential applicant information:
• Full-disk encryption enabled (BitLocker or FileVault).
• Automatic security updates enabled for operating system and browser.
• Screen lock after no more than 10 minutes idle.
• Active endpoint protection software.
• Applicant data stored only in firm-designated systems — never on personal cloud storage or local drives.

Contractor Terms

• This is an independent contractor engagement, not employment.
• No paid time off, healthcare, retirement, or other employee benefits are provided.
• You will supply your own equipment, software, internet connection, and workspace.

Compensation

Compensation: USD 12,000 - USD 18,000 monthly.
