Role Description

Shutts & Bowen's Orlando office is seeking a senior associate/partner to join their Labor and Employment Practice Group. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in labor and employment law, with a strong background representing employers in:

• Employment counseling
• Workplace compliance
• Employment litigation matters

The successful applicant should have experience advising companies, executives, and managing teams on a broad range of employment issues including:

• Federal and state employment laws
• Wage and hour compliance
• Employee relations
• Workplace policies
• Risk management
• Human resources matters

Experience managing all phases of employment litigation, from pre-litigation counseling through:

• Discovery
• Motions practice
• Mediation
• Resolution

Candidate must be a member of the Florida Bar and possess excellent:

• Counseling
• Drafting
• Negotiations
• Analytical
• Communication skills

Experience with management-side employment counseling, workplace investigations, employee handbooks and policies, restrictive covenants, trade secrets, and traditional labor matters is a plus.

Qualifications
