Role Description

A sole practitioner in Bloomington, Indiana is seeking a remote Legal Assistant to support a creditor rights and real estate practice. The role is approximately one-third reception and two-thirds legal administrative work. The right candidate is detail-oriented, accurate, and comfortable working across multiple screens in a fast-paced, process-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and spoken English
• Prior experience in a U.S. law firm, particularly in collections or creditor rights, is strongly preferred
• Proficiency in Clio or comparable practice management software
• Comfortable working across multiple screens simultaneously
• High attention to detail and consistency; accuracy matters more than speed on repetitive tasks
• AI-forward mindset; the firm actively uses AI tools
• Reliable internet connection and professional remote work setup
• 3 monitor/screens required

Requirements

• This is a full-time role
• Rate: $6-$7/hr
