Role Description
My client, a growing Federal Contractor, is seeking a Contract Specialist to support federal and commercial contracts across their full life cycle. This role will also support contract work for proposals, partnering with the sales, operations, and PMO teams.

Support contract activities across the full life cycle of contracts, task orders, and subcontracts, from notification of award through contract development, execution, modifications, and closeout.

Assist with the formation of prime contracts, including supporting proposal preparation, prime contract review, teaming/joint venture and subcontract partnering, and risk assessment.

Help ensure compliance with agency requirements, government regulations (FAR/DFARS), statutes, and client practices, including supporting reporting, audits, claims, and contract closeout.

Prepare, review, and redline inbound and outbound agreements, including non-disclosure, teaming, subcontract, data privacy, services, consulting, and licensing agreements, and support negotiations.

Track and research new laws, regulations, and proposed changes, and flag potential impacts on current and future contracts.

Prepare responses to requests for information from government officials, such as contract audits, CPARS, and data calls.

Maintain contract files, templates, trackers, and repositories, and support quality control and tracking programs.

Process contract modifications, subcontract agreements, and vendor documentation, and monitor deliverables, funding, and period-of-performance dates.

Serve as a point of contact for the project management team (PMO), contracting officers, and subcontractors on day-to-day contractual questions.

Support vendor management activities, including vendor onboarding, selection, and subcontract administration.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, finance, or a related field.

3 or more years of contract administration or contract management experience, with at least 2 years supporting federal government contracts.

Experience administering prime contracts and/or subcontracts (task orders, modifications, closeouts).

Working knowledge of FAR and DFARS; familiarity with ITAR.

Understanding of the financial aspects of contracts and task orders (contract types, funding, invoicing).

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work with internal teams, subcontractors, vendors, and clients.

Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
Requirements

Preferred: Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM), Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM), or Certified Commercial Contracts Manager (CCCM).

Experience with information technology contracts or large federal contract vehicles (IDIQ, GWAC, GSA Schedules).

Experience with contract management tools or systems (e.g., Costpoint, Unanet, SharePoint repositories).
