Role Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Nutanix Subject Matter Expert to manage, maintain, and continuously improve enterprise-scale Nutanix hyperconverged infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for platform availability, performance, security, lifecycle management, disaster recovery, and automation.

• Manage and maintain multi-cluster Nutanix environments, including AHV, Prism Central, and Prism Element.
• Plan and execute lifecycle upgrades for AOS, AHV, firmware, and Prism Central.
• Perform capacity planning, health monitoring, and performance tuning.
• Administer Nutanix Files, Volumes, Objects, and Nutanix Database Services (NDB).
• Design and implement disaster recovery solutions, replication, failover, and failback testing.
• Manage Nutanix Flow, microsegmentation, VLANs, bridges, bonds, and AHV networking.
• Handle Tier 3 escalations, root cause analysis, and complex infrastructure troubleshooting.
• Automate operations using REST APIs, PowerShell, Python, Ansible, and Terraform.
• Support VM migrations from VMware ESXi or Hyper-V to Nutanix AHV using Nutanix Move.
• Ensure security, compliance, patching, RBAC, and infrastructure hardening.
• Maintain technical documentation, operational runbooks, and procedures.
• Participate in change management, maintenance windows, and on-call support.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, networking, security, and application teams.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of enterprise infrastructure experience.
• 4+ years of hands-on production experience administering Nutanix.
• Strong expertise in Nutanix AHV, AOS, Prism Central, Prism Element, and LCM.
• Experience managing large-scale enterprise Nutanix environments.
• Strong knowledge of storage, virtualization, networking, VLANs, LACP, and OVS.
• Hands-on experience with disaster recovery, replication, failover, and failback.
• Proficiency in PowerShell, Python, Bash, REST APIs, Ansible, or Terraform.
• Strong Linux and Windows Server administration skills.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Prism, Splunk, SolarWinds, Grafana, or ServiceNow.
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Nutanix NCP-MCI certification (strongly preferred).
• Additional Nutanix certifications such as NCM-MCI, NCP-NS, NCP-DS, or NCP-CN.
• Experience with Nutanix Files, Objects, NDB, Flow, and Kubernetes.
• VMware vSphere/vSAN experience and migration to AHV.
• Experience with Dell PowerEdge servers, iDRAC, and hardware lifecycle management.
• Exposure to hybrid cloud environments, including NC2 on AWS/Azure.
• ITIL v4 certification or experience with SRE/DevOps operating models.
• Experience supporting compliance frameworks such as SOX, PCI-DSS, HIPAA, or NIST.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent experience.
