Role Description

The Messaging Specialist - Senior will be responsible for:

• Designing, planning, implementing, and supporting On-Premises Exchange 2016/2019, Exchange SE environment, and Exchange Online in a large organization of comparable size and complexity to the Government of Alberta.
• Supporting email security related services like anti-spam, anti-phishing, and access management.
• Supporting Skype for Business or Microsoft Teams in an enterprise environment.
• Managing Microsoft architecture, installation, and administration in a multi-server environment.
• Collecting requirements, analyzing, designing, or implementing M365 products and services, either on-premises or in a cloud infrastructure-as-a-service environment.
• Configuring and maintaining Quest Exchange Migration Wizard.
• Implementing and supporting Microsoft Teams.
• Performing user identity verification processes, and maintaining user IDs, passwords, and accounts permission levels for business applications.
• Migrating from an on-premise Skype for Business environment to Microsoft Teams.
• Performing access management activities to Microsoft 365 tenants.
• Conducting Information Management related activities like litigation hold, e-discovery, and retention schedules for M365 services.
• Supporting bulk mail delivery solutions.
• Managing AntiSpam Administration.
• Creating and implementing naming standards, usage standards, and best practices.
• Working in or for the public sector.
• Working in the Government of Alberta Domain environment or an environment of equivalent size and complexity.

Qualifications

• Experience designing, planning, implementing, and supporting On-Premises Exchange 2016/2019.
• Experience supporting email security related services.
• Experience supporting Skype for Business or Microsoft Teams.
• Experience with Microsoft architecture in a multi-server environment.
• Experience with M365 products and services.
• Experience with Quest Exchange Migration Wizard.
• Experience in user identity verification processes.
• Experience migrating from Skype for Business to Microsoft Teams.
• Experience performing access management activities.
• Experience with Information Management activities.
• Experience with bulk mail delivery solutions.
• Experience with AntiSpam Administration.
• Experience creating and implementing naming standards.
• Experience in the public sector.
• Experience in the Government of Alberta Domain environment.

Requirements

• 6 Months possible extension.
