Role Description

The primary purpose of this position is to provide point of contact for LRS computer operations including remote processing station, Local Area Network, and personal computer systems. Administers organizational information management processes.

• Administers and maintains information systems hardware in compliance with Air Force directives.
• Recommends, installs, and maintains system software.
• Assists the network security officer with implementing security plans, procedures, and training to comply with Wing, Air Force, and Department of War standards.
• Provides ongoing technical advice, guidance, and training to customers on the operation and maintenance of systems hardware and software.

Qualifications

• Applicants must have three years of progressively responsible general work experience with one (1) year of that experience at the next lower broadband NH-1, equivalent to the next lower grade GS-04, or equivalent in other pay systems.
• Completed four years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. (Note: You must submit a copy of official transcripts.)
• Combinations of successfully completed post-high school education and experience may be used to meet the total qualification requirements. (Note: You must submit a copy of your transcripts.)

• This position is subject to provisions of the DoD Priority Placement Program.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance.
• Required to handle and safeguard sensitive and/or classified information in accordance with regulations.
• Information Assurance Certification is a condition of employment.
• May be required to work overtime on an unscheduled or emergency basis.
• May be required to travel by military or commercial aircraft in the performance of TDY assignments.
• Must be able to obtain Pre-Employment physical.
• Depending on the type of position, you will be required to serve a 1-year probationary period OR 2-year trial period.
