[Hiring] Vice President of People & Equity @Educators for Excellence

Role Description

The Vice President of People & Equity (VPPE) will serve as E4E's senior leader for the full life cycle of our people, focusing on:

• Recruiting, developing, retaining, and deploying a diverse and high-performing team.
• Building leadership capacity and organizational capabilities.
• Creating structures and systems that enable people to do their best work.
• Fostering a culture grounded in values and commitment to equity.

This role is strategic and organizational leadership-focused, partnering with the Executive Team to translate strategy into talent, leadership, and systems required for execution.

Qualifications

• Deep, demonstrated commitment to E4E's mission and to building anti-racist, equitable organizations.
• 5+ years of senior experience in HR, people strategy, and/or talent leadership.
• Proven experience setting DEI strategy and driving meaningful practices and outcomes.
• Demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing teams in fast-paced, mission-driven environments.
• Track record of serving as a trusted advisor to senior executives.
• Experience building and improving people infrastructure in a growing or scaling organization.
• Proven ability to lead across geography and build culture in distributed organizations.
• Strong change management experience.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree (MBA, MPA, or equivalent) preferred.
• Experience with HRIS systems and people data.
• Strong working knowledge of HR compliance, employment law, and compensation best practices.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
