[Hiring] University Partnerships Operations Head @JerseySTEM, Inc.

Role Description

This is a pro-bono volunteer position. JerseySTEM is looking for talented professionals across our departments to commit time and energy as long-term engagement for our mission to provide STEM education to underrepresented middle school girls. The Head of Operations will assist the Department Head in leading initiatives with NJ Universities and Colleges to recruit volunteer instructors.

• Support and collaborate with teams in Business Development (OLE.DEV), Student Groups (COLE.SGL), and Individual Students engagement (COLE.PIO) goals.
• Develop and improve processes for effective volunteer instructor recruitment and retention.
• Develop and deliver on process KPIs.
• Collaborate with JerseySTEM technology team to automate processes and metrics.
• Provide Junior Associates with direction, guidance and subject matter expertise.
• Participate in hiring, budgeting, and marketing activities to ensure smooth college engagement operations.
• Act as a point of contact in the absence of the Department Head, ensuring continuity in departmental operations.
• Foster positive relationships with college partners and stakeholders to strengthen JerseySTEM's presence in educational institutions.

Qualifications

• Genuine concern about/interest in solving the STEM education gender gap.
• Strong leadership/team building skills.
• Resourceful, can-do attitude.
• Experience with Universities and College campuses.
• Outreach experience preferred.
• Experience leading a function (i.e. team, department manager, etc.) and managing others.
• Comfort working in a ‘virtual organization’ with digital tools (G-Suite, Slack, Jira, Salesforce).
• Would be a plus if candidate has flexible schedule to allow for daytime calls with the school admins during the work week.
