[Hiring] Team Lead, Business Recruiting @Headway

Role Description

Headway is looking for a Team Lead, Business Recruiting to own recruiting across our revenue-generating functions — Provider Sales and Care Partnerships — while managing and developing a team of 6-7 IC Recruiters. This is a player-coach role: you'll carry your own requisitions while setting the strategic direction for your pod, coaching your team to deliver exceptional candidate and hiring manager experiences, and partnering closely with senior business leaders to build high-performing go-to-market teams.

You'll report to the Senior Manager, Business Recruiting and serve as the exec-facing recruiting partner for your functions, bringing both executional rigor and a point of view on talent strategy.

What You'll Do

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of 6–7 recruiting ICs across Provider Sales and Care Partnerships hiring
• Own the end-to-end recruiting strategy for your pod, including sourcing approach, process design, pipeline health, and offer close
• Serve as the primary recruiting partner for senior stakeholders across revenue functions, building trusted relationships with hiring managers and business leaders
• Carry your own requisition load on key or complex searches alongside your team
• Set and track team-level metrics (time-to-fill, offer accept rate, pipeline conversion), using data to identify gaps and drive continuous improvement
• Partner with the broader TA leadership team on cross-functional initiatives, process improvements, and team capacity planning
• Contribute to interviewer training, calibration, and overall recruiting excellence across the Business Recruiting org

Qualifications

• 6+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, with at least 1–2 years leading or mentoring other recruiters
• Demonstrated success recruiting for revenue, sales, or go-to-market functions (provider sales, partnerships, customer success, or similar)
• You operate as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, influence decisions through data, market insight and structured thinking
• A coaching mindset: you invest in your team's growth and take accountability for their outcomes
• Data-driven approach to recruiting — you use metrics to tell a story and drive decisions, not just report activity
• You bring high agency and operational excellence to drive clean, structured searches that remove friction for both candidates and stakeholders
• You communicate with clarity, presence and executive polish, regardless of audience
• You care deeply about raising the bar, running inclusive and consistent processes and strengthening the hiring muscle across the organization
• Experience in a high-growth, fast-paced environment; healthcare or marketplace experience a plus
• Comfortable operating with ambiguity and building process where it doesn't yet exist
