Role Description

The Recruiting Specialist supports C5MI's contractor staffing needs within the federal government contracting environment. This role serves as the primary liaison between hiring managers, external vendor partners, and the Talent Acquisition and Contracts teams to facilitate the full contractor recruiting lifecycle. Core responsibilities include:

• Partnering with hiring managers to define contractor requirements.
• Managing relationships with outside staffing vendors.
• Assessing candidate submissions.
• Coordinating interviews and technical evaluations.
• Supporting the onboarding of contracted partners and 1099 staff.
• Playing a key role in incumbent capture efforts, security clearance and CAC coordination.
• Maintaining recruiting metrics and compliance reporting.

Success in this role requires strong administrative and organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to build effective working relationships across internal teams and external partners.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of recruiting or talent acquisition experience, with at least 1 year in a federal government contracting environment.
• Experience supporting or coordinating onboarding activities for contractors, subcontractors, or 1099 staff in a government contracting context.
• Exposure to incumbent capture processes, including workforce tracking during contract re-competes and transitions.
• Strong administrative and organizational skills, with experience maintaining ATS records, generating recruiting reports, and tracking pipeline metrics.
• Knowledge of OFCCP compliance, affirmative action reporting, and federal contractor hiring regulations.
• Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), Microsoft Office Suite, and collaboration tools.
• Excellent communication, relationship-building, and customer service skills.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience working with staffing vendors, third-party recruiting firms, or contractor workforce programs to source and place candidates.
• Familiarity with security clearance processes, including coordinating background investigations, initiating SF-86 submissions, and managing CAC/badge processing for contractor personnel.
• Experience with ClearanceJobs, LinkedIn Recruiter, or other platforms for recruiting cleared or government-sector talent.
• Familiarity with SAP, ERP, or enterprise technology role requirements within the federal contracting space.
• Experience with Greenhouse ATS.
• Knowledge of 1099 contractor compliance, worker classification requirements, and subcontract agreement processes.
• Experience developing or contributing to incumbent capture plans in support of business development or contract re-compete efforts.
• Familiarity with labor market trends and compensation benchmarking for government contractor roles.
