Role Description

This part-time position will play an important role in developing and managing our human resources infrastructure, overseeing recruiting efforts, and ensuring that employees have a seamless experience from hiring through onboarding and ongoing employment. The ideal candidate is a hands-on HR professional who thrives in a startup environment, enjoys building processes from the ground up, and is comfortable balancing strategic initiatives with day-to-day administrative responsibilities.

This individual will be responsible for:

• Developing HR policies and procedures
• Maintaining employee handbooks
• Coordinating payroll
• Managing recruitment processes
• Overseeing employee onboarding
• Coordinating employee technology and equipment needs
• Providing limited administrative support related to invoice management

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in human resources, people operations, recruiting, or a related field
• Demonstrated experience developing HR policies, procedures, and employee handbooks
• Hands-on experience managing or coordinating payroll processing
• Experience managing recruiting processes, including candidate screening, interview coordination, and hiring administration
• Experience designing and overseeing employee onboarding and offboarding processes
• Working knowledge of federal and state employment regulations and HR best practices
• Experience using HRIS, payroll, and applicant tracking systems
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• High level of discretion and professionalism when handling confidential employee information
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment with limited administrative infrastructure

Requirements

• Previous experience in a startup or rapidly growing organization
• Experience supporting a remote workforce across multiple states
• Experience in healthcare, behavioral health, or another regulated industry
• Familiarity with Justworks or similar HRIS/payroll platforms
• Experience establishing HR processes and systems from the ground up
• Familiarity with employee benefits administration and vendor coordination
• SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification
