Role Description

There's a kind of HR leader who runs programs. And there's the kind who runs the function — who owns total rewards like a P&L, treats payroll accuracy as sacred, and sits with executives shaping where the company goes next. We're hiring the second kind.

FlexScreen/RiteScreen is the largest independent screen manufacturer in the United States — nine facilities, seven states, and a growth trajectory that has us hiring someone every single day of the year. The HR function at the center of that needs a Director with genuine depth in benefits, payroll, and strategy — not one of the three, all three.

• Own total rewards: Benefits plan design, broker and carrier relationships, open enrollment across all locations, and compliance with ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA.
• Govern payroll: Multi-state payroll oversight through ADP — controls, tax compliance, audit discipline, and ensuring every employee is paid accurately every time.
• Own the system: Administration, optimization, enhancements, and integrity and security of every employee record in the HRIS through ADP Workforce Now.
• Shape strategy: Workforce planning, compensation philosophy, policy architecture, and organizational design — partnering directly with the CHRO and executive leadership.
• Lead leaders: HR Managers across our sites look to this seat for direction, consistency, and development.
• Master the map: Knowledge of seven states of employment law — including California — and the judgment to maintain compliance for a multi-state manufacturer.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive HR depth and real leadership experience.
• Experience running open enrollment and answering to a board.
• Negotiated renewals and coached struggling plant HRM.
• Supported organizations of 500+ employees across multiple shifts.
• Manufacturing or hourly-workforce experience preferred.
• ADP Workforce Now fluency strongly preferred.
• SPHR, SHRM-SCP, CEBS, or CPP respected.
