[Hiring] Hiring and Recruitment Specialist @NORY

Role Description

NORY is seeking a Recruitment Specialist to drive our hiring efforts as we expand nationally. This part-time, fully remote contractor role involves partnering with hiring managers across various departments to fill priority openings.

• Source passive candidates: identify individuals not actively looking, write tailored outreach, and convert them into applicants.
• Manage inbound applications across LinkedIn, Indeed, and our ATS (Ashby), ensuring every candidate moves forward or out within 48 hours.
• Run first-round screens (phone or video) using NORY's structured interview rubric.
• Track recruiting metrics weekly: applicants by source, time-to-screen, screen-to-offer, and pass-through rates by stage.
• Coordinate scheduling between candidates and hiring managers.
• Maintain a "warm bench" of strong candidates for future openings.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of recruiting experience, in-house or agency, with a track record of sourcing passive candidates.
• Ability to write outreach that generates replies, with real examples to demonstrate effectiveness.
• Familiarity with at least one modern ATS (Ashby, Greenhouse, Lever) and confidence using LinkedIn Recruiter.
• Highly organized, ensuring that nothing falls through the cracks.
• Honest about candidate quality, preferring to communicate when no suitable candidates are available.

Requirements

• Flexible schedule with two non-negotiable weekly touchpoints: a Monday planning sync and a Friday metrics review.
• Contractor (1099) engagement, with a clear path to expanded scope as NORY grows.

Benefits

• Compensation of $27 to $37 per hour, based on experience and demonstrated sourcing track record.
• 10 to 20 hours per week, fully remote.
