Role Description

Spectrum One is scaling our core team and looking for an Employee Experience Specialist . We prioritize capability over tenure and are looking for an organized, proactive individual who can champion our people processes, lead internal communications, and foster a great team culture with high autonomy. We value the quality of your output and your attention to detail above the length of your resume.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a People Operations, HR, or Administrative role, with a strong focus on engagement, onboarding, or internal communications.
  • Proficient in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Forms) and MS Office applications.
  • Basic graphic design skills (e.g., Canva) for internal company announcements and communications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Close attention to detail and strong time management skills.
  • Highly creative with a proactive, high-agency mindset.

Requirements

  • You are a Professional. You take complete initiative over your responsibilities, ensuring high-quality execution without requiring constant oversight.
  • You Value Operational Excellence. You create clean, maintainable, and efficient processes. You care about the long-term health of our employee experience and organizational operations, not just checking boxes.
  • You Have High Agency. You identify problems and fix them before they are assigned. You are comfortable navigating ambiguity and handling multiple tasks with ease.

Benefits

  • High-Trust Environment: We hire capable, self-directed professionals. We measure success by the quality and impact of your output, not by keystrokes, activity trackers, or arbitrary hours.
  • Deep Work: We minimize meetings to protect your focus time. We operate asynchronously by default.
  • International Standards: You will support a top-tier international team, building administrative systems and people practices that scale alongside our rapid growth.
  • Real Impact: We expect our People Operations team to drive culture and process improvements. You will have a direct hand in shaping the employee experience and our daily administrative workflow.
  • Autonomy by Default: We reject the traditional "churn and burn" model. We provide the context and the goal, then we trust you to execute.
  • A Culture of Excellence: You will be surrounded by high-performers who push you to be better. We believe in continuous evolution and provide the environment you need to do the best work of your career.
  • Top-of-Market Compensation: High base salary benchmarked against industry standards, plus annual performance-based bonuses.
  • Annual Summit: A fully-funded, company-wide Out of Country retreat to celebrate our wins.
  • Hardware & Gear: We provide the latest tech (Company-provided MacBook) and other equipment to ensure your workspace is ergonomic and productive.
  • Professional Development Budget: We provide an annual budget for courses, certifications, books, and conferences. We want you to stay sharp.
  • Primarily Remote: Work from home or anywhere you are most productive.
  • Time Off & Wellness: Generous paid leave policy, full medical coverage (HMO), and mental health support for you and your dependents.

Responsibilities

Employee Engagement

  • Plan and facilitate company events that will engage our employees and foster positive team spirit.
  • Achieve high feedback ratings, healthy participation rates across departments, and engagement levels for social events:
    • Casual activities (e.g., movie nights, Tech Talks, outsourced activities).
    • Competitive/structured activities (e.g., virtual games, webinars, Virtual Town Halls).
    • Large company events (e.g., company outings, year-end parties).
  • Track participation in engagement programs such as quarterly meetups and Social Club activities. Ensure each individual attends at least one activity per quarter.
  • Monitor and track regular leadership check-ins, identify potential workforce risks, and collaborate with key stakeholders on proactive resolution plans.
  • Come up with creative programs and activities to increase overall employee engagement, satisfaction, and well-being.

Onboarding & Employee Lifecycle

  • Keep track of the overall onboarding process and ensure timely execution of activities.
  • Facilitate employee onboarding to ensure a positive and seamless experience, including conducting new hire orientations, hosting team introductions, and conducting 1-week check-ins.
  • Help new employees adapt to company culture, working schedules, tools, and systems, and introduce them to their assigned leaders and colleagues.
  • Ensure new hires understand policies in the Employee Handbook, performance standards, and People Ops processes (payroll, timekeeping, health insurance administration, leave applications).
  • Manage employee 201 files, keep track of personal information, and ensure compliance with pre-employment requirements.
  • Conduct engagement and pulse surveys to gather insights on how to improve the overall employee experience.

Learning & Development (L&D)

  • Assist with learning and development programs to promote growth and development opportunities for employees.
  • Provide support for the mentorship program, tracking mentor-mentee pairs, learning plans, and learning check-ins to help achieve a 100% mentorship pairing rate.
  • Plan the L&D activity calendar and facilitate learning sessions (at least 1 learning session every 2 months for all employees, and at least 1 Leadership Training Session every quarter).
  • Help Spectrum One establish a coaching culture and leadership excellence.
  • Liaise with 3rd-party training providers or resource speakers, and manage programs providing educational support for employees continuing their academic schooling.

Work Schedule

  • Flexible Hours: You manage your own time based on output and deliverables.
