Role Description

As an S&C Electric Canada team member, you’ll work on tasks and projects that have real-world impact. You’ll help transform the grid for resilient and reliable power worldwide. The HRIS Analyst (18 Months Contract) is a member of S&C’s HR Technology team, responsible for:

• Analyzing business requirements and determining hardware and software requirements to meet data management needs.
• Designing new or modifying existing HR technology solutions to meet changing demands.
• Development, configuration, implementation, and maintenance of human resource information systems (HRIS).
• Ensuring the accuracy and integrity of HR system databases.
• Providing HR technology support to end-users.

The HRIS Analyst works under general supervision to provide support and analysis of people data, participating in various HR projects supporting ongoing HR initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Supporting Modules:
  • Focus on supporting Oracle HCM Cloud CORE modules, including Journeys, HCM Communicate, and Oracle Guided Learning (OGL).
• Systems:
  • Coordinate the day-to-day maintenance of the HRIS.
  • Customize and configure the system based on HR and organizational requirements.
• Implementations & Updates:
  • Support system upgrades and the implementation of new HRIS modules or features.
  • Document, implement, and optimize HRIS processes, training materials, and standard work.
• Data Analytics & Reporting:
  • Analyze HRIS performance metrics and perform diagnostic tests.
  • Generate and analyze reports using HRIS data.
• Technical Support & Training:
  • Provide technical support to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Provide training to HR professionals and end-users.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with IT and other departments to integrate the HRIS.
• Strategic Thinking & Decision Making:
  • Consult with HR colleagues to determine HRIS needs and recommend changes.
• Compliance & Security:
  • Conduct regular audits and data validation activities.
  • Maintain data integrity and oversee the accuracy and security of HR data.
• Additional Functions:
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
  • Attend in-person or virtual meetings as required.
  • Communicate effectively and respectfully with others.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, human resources, or a related field.
• 2 to 4 years of experience as an HRIS Analyst or in another related role.
• Proficiency in HRM software, such as Oracle HCM, Workday HCM, Criterion HCM, and PurelyHR.
• Organizational and project management skills.
• Good interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information.
• Proficiency in database management and security, including SQL queries.
• Proactive in keeping up with technical innovation in HR information systems analysis.
• Experience in gathering and interpreting data.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel functions like VLOOKUP and pivot tables.
