Role Description

This role involves managing daily HR operations in a fast-paced, start-up environment focused on healthcare.

Manage daily HR operations including onboarding, benefits support, employee relations, compliance, and offboarding
Provide timely and supportive HR assistance to employees and managers
Ensure compliance with state and federal employment regulations and healthcare-specific policies (e.g., Medi-Cal, CalAIM)
Assist in performance management documentation and coaching support
Maintain accurate employee records and support HR data tracking in the HRIS
Help execute internal communications, engagement activities, and HR projects
Contribute to updates of policies, handbooks, audits, and continuous process improvements
Foster Pacific Health Group’s people-first culture rooted in equity, respect, and service

Qualifications

3–5 years of experience in an HR Generalist or similar role, ideally within healthcare or community-based services
Experience in a start-up or high-growth organization
Alignment with the mission to support whole-person care through Enhanced Care Management, Street Medicine, and Behavioral Health
Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
Knowledge of California labor laws and HR compliance best practices
Tech-savvy and experienced with HRIS platforms, Google Workspace, and online communication tools
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field is preferred, but not required
HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, or similar) is a plus
