Role Description

We are seeking a passionate and driven DEI Trainee Intern to support our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience supporting DEI programs in a multicultural business environment.

  • Work closely with global and regional DEI team to drive programs and initiatives that foster a more inclusive and equitable work environment.
  • Assist in researching and analyzing DEI best practices and trends across the world.
  • Monitor and report on regulatory practices and updates related to DEI in all countries.
  • Support the development and promotion of DEI training programs tailored to Konecranes cultural nuances and aligned with global initiatives.
  • Collaborate with regional People & Culture and Employee Resource Groups to identify and address diversity and inclusion gaps.
  • Help organize cultural celebration events, speaker series, and other DEI-focused activities.
  • Provide administrative support such as scheduling, note-taking, and presentation preparation.
  • Gather feedback and data to measure the impact of DEI initiatives.
  • Support the creation of internal communications to promote DEI initiatives.
  • Support diversity initiatives as needed.

Qualifications

  • Currently in a university program related to human resources, organizational behavior, social sciences, or a relevant field.
  • Could work 15-16 hours per week with a 6-month commitment.
  • Strong interest and some prior exposure to diversity, equity, and inclusion practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
  • Proficiency in utilizing PowerPoint and other communication tools to support DEI campaigns, acting in social networks, etc.
  • Excellent research and analysis skills.
  • Familiarity with the cultural nuances and business landscape.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
